Exclamation 2nd adoption

Well we adopted another kitten today. We decided that Kojak needed a playmate and today was one of the biggest adoption days at petsmart I have been to. The new kitty is grey and white and soo cute. Will try to get pics up soon!!!

the 2 kittys we have adopted from petsmart on adoption day when the shelters bring lots up there were $45. That included their shots depending on how old they our this one has its first 2 and then you take it back when it turns 6 months and get it spayed/neuter without having to pay.

That doesnít sound too bad at all. The kitties here at our Petsmart are $95 and most have FIV or FLV. I wanted to adopt one awhile back but we could not afford the adoption fee. Plus we had Kitty and she does not have FIV or FLV and I would not want to jeopardize her.

It just seems like around here it is more expensive to adopt animals from a shelter. I understand that it costs a lot to keep an animal in a shelter, but it seems like they would pass up a good home just because someone canít afford the adoption fee. I just think it is easier to get a free kitty as opposed to adopting. Honestly if I wanted a kitty and I couldnít afford the adoption fee, I would look for a kitten.
I know a lot of people say if you canít afford the adoption fee than you canít afford the kitty, but thatís not true. I would like to save that cash for other vet bills that I may acquire. To me it seems like $95 is a lot for an already adult cat that may have potential problems in the future.

Iím glad you got to adopt another kitty for Kojak to play with! I think they are happier with a playmate.

What did you name your new kitty????

Our new kitty's name is Lady. Justin at first wanted to just find free kittens but I said I wanted to adopt some from the shelter. This last time we went and a few times before they had this big orange cat that fit his litter box perfectly and just laid there. Reminded us of Garfield. But we got the ones we did as kittens so it would be easier for them to adjust to having doggies around. But I can see Kojak eventually looking like the big orange one there.

and I will try to get some pics up soon. But I can only use the net when I am at Justin's cuz we dont have it at my parents anymore. 67777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777 77777777777777777777777777 oh yeah...and Lady says hi!! LOL
