Cat Calls 911 To Save Owner

POSTED: 10:32 pm EST December 31, 2005
UPDATED: 10:07 am EST January 2, 2006

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police aren't sure how else to explain it but when an officer walked into an apartment to answer a 911 call, an orange-and-tan striped cat was lying by a telephone on the living room floor after apparently dialing the number for help.

The cat's owner, Gary Rosheisen, was on the ground near his bed having fallen out of his wheelchair.

Heh, I love reading stories about people's pets dialing 911. I definitely wouldn't count on my pets being able to do it but it's still pretty cool Bravo kitty!

What a very smart kitty, we should teach our pets to do the same because you never know when you might need them
