Hi! I have a two year old Snowshoe Siamese named Koko. We got him maybe 2 months ago. He is very playful, very friendly, and very talkative. Probably about a month and a week ago, we had him neutered. He was fine at first, purring and happy. He loves to come lay on the couch with me and my fiance, and he loves nothing but attention!
Now about two weeks after he got fixed, he developed an eye/upper respiratory infection. We took him to the vet, got it done, and about a week after we ran out of meds he started getting sick again. Which leads to today.
An odd behavior change that I have noticed is that he has started to get a little mean. I don't know if mean is the right word for it, because I think he is being playful in what he is doing, but I am not sure.
He "stalks" me and my fiance constantly, and jumps out at us from behind things, Which is fine, often comical. But he has been taking it another step, as of lately he will jump on us and dig his claws in and scratch us. I can be sitting on the couch and he will simply walk up and scrach my feet for no reason! As i was typing this, he came over to the computer chair and jumped up on it and tried to climb my back with his claws, hurts alot! Last night my toe was bleeding because he scratched me very badly. He is playful like a kitten, but he is 2.. I don't know if he thinks he is just playing, but the behavior is worsening. He has all sorts of toys, he loves catnip, he has a car playhouse I got him (yeah hes just a tad spoiled)... I'm concerned he is doin this for attention and it is becoming a major issue! If you have any advice, thanks!
