Arrow Charlie wants to go outside

well, charlie has been crying a lot lately. i have him in my bedroom. i don't go in there very much, but i try to sleep in there with him as much as possible (can't every night because dogs get mad. ). well, he's been crying and looking out the window, etc. i think he's seriously bored. i put him a yarn toy and two foil balls in there today and he played with them a little bit, but he's scared of them!
ques is:
should i let him outside every now and again (in the front yard)? i know he won't run away, probably just roll in the grass and/or sit with me. i think he misses the outside.
so what do you guys think? let me know.

Unless you can bring him out on a harness I would not let him outside. As much as you think he wouldn't run away out there with you he very well could. Cats run very fast and could get themselves in trouble quicker than you can say cat so I wouldn't do it.

I agree, I would put him on a harness. My cats quite enjoy being outside so when it's warmer I will often take them out to play in the grass and chase bugs.
