How old is he? How long have you had him? Depending on these things could he just be adjusting to his surroundings? He seems to be asking for something and you are providing the necessities, so I have no clue.

I hope he soon settles in. If not perhaps a trip to the vet for a quick look over will at least bring you peace of mind that everything is okay or there may actually be something going on...though it doesn't seem that way. As long as he is eating, drinking, pooping and peeing...

Keep us posted...and try to catch a catnap when you can...

Agree with the above poster.

He may just be looking for more attention and expecting that if he meows he'll get whatever he wants.

my lola never shuts up, until i squirt her. then she thinks it's a game. but i give her warning "no's" now she stops for a while. sometimes she'll go and go (not in heat...spayed)......SQUIRT SQUIRT adn it's over...for 15 minutes

I've had two kittens do that that were both males. He's maybe just wanting attention. a lot of the time, they do that before they're fixed too.
With both cats, I ended up getting up and holding them for a while. My female used to do that when she was in heat, she was never spayed. I'd go down and get her and bring her up to bed with me and rub her belly and she'd go to sleep.
Will he behave if he's in the same room with you or do you need to keep him out? Maybe make a cozy spot in your room so he knows he's not alone, or something? He might just not be used to being alone and is upset about it.

Kramer is a talker, he loves to announce himself before he enters a room or if he is looking for me or if I am ignoring him, even when he wants food, my cat just loves to talk.

My moms cat data when he was a kitten loved to meow all the time don't really know why but he did, he stopped as he got older.

12 weeks is realy young yet he is probably lonely and is looking for others to play or cuddle with.
