Question Do your cats ferret?

Smitty NEVER sits on his hind legs, but Baby Girl ferrets all the time, sitting up to look at things. Does anyone else's cat ferret around?

Cool

Mark E. , the cat I lost this past summer, used to love to sit on his back legs & butt and hold onto Wallis and clean her face.

I always talk about myself ferreting, but I mean just not being able to keep my attention in one spot for too long or going into a room to do something and end up doing something else. But I do sit on my butt a lot too!

LOL, When ever she decides to check something out on her back feet, Ray always says "What are you lookin at little ferret?" So it just stuck I guess!

Cool

When we are trying to go somewhere Bubba will tell me "Quit being a ferret and come on!" At least that's what he says when he's being nice!!!

Cool

I think it may be somewhat related to "prairie dogging"

I used to have a flame point siamese and he would "ferret around" . Now take that ferreting position, and imagine the cat sticking his feet out and kneading the air! That was Roland's signature move! He would do that if you snapped at him.

But then, he would also just be walking and fall over on his side, start purring, and then knead the air on his side! But he "ferreted" and kneaded the air ALL the time!

Shadow was a kitten in that picture. She was trying to see the mouse cage on the chair. She inherited Audriels pet mouse.
