Hey everyone,
I'm new to this site and I'm not sure how quickly people reply to these threads, but I need some help.
A friend of mine dropped by today and gave me a shoebox full of eastern snapping turtle eggs. They were located in an old stump that he was removing and he didn't want to destroy them. He thought I was the right one to give the eggs to because I went on a turtle monitering trip in Iowa through the Earthwatch program.
The biggest problem with the eggs: when my friend removed them from the nest he failed to mark the tops of the eggs. I know it is extremely important to keep them right side up and I was wondering if there are other ways of determining where the top of the egg is. Any other tips would be appriciated.
Thanks for your help.
