Life has been throwing one curve after another and none of them good!
I wanted to write and tell everyone about my Angel. She hadn't been feeling well and stopped eating her food. I thought she wa going through some new teen kitty phase and was just trying to deal with it. So I got her different types and was watching her to see if she was o.k. otherwise. She seemed like it then she went down hill and fast. She was drinking lots of water all the time. She couldn't get enough and I was confused but I didn' think it could be kidney problems. She was only 9 months old how could it be. She was so healthy and spoiled and she couldn't really be sick could she?
Yes alas she was she developed FIP.
I took her into the vet on a Tuesday the 4th. and the vet thought she had hurt her back so he gave her a cortizone shot and pain meds. I took her back in on Saturday because she smelled like bile from her mouth and she was in so much pain.
A different vet from the same practice ran all sorts of tests on her and her kidneys readings were off the chart. She had all sorts of sores in her mouth and she was so sick he thought she wouldn't be able to come back from any treatments. He actually told me she was so far gone it would be more humane to let her go.
So at 1:00p.m on Saturday the 8th my baby girl was put down.
It has taken me a while to be able to even write this and I am bawling as I do so. It has been two weeks and I am in so much pain and well. I am sorry I haven't been around. I hope things have been better for all of you and your babies furrball in nature or not...
