Unhappy Info on cat with torn ACL-surgery or not?

My cat was hit by a car and now has injured ACL, may need surgery. Trying 6 weeks of containment and rest. I don't want to have to put him through surgery. How do I know what the right decision for him is? Thanks.

Oh poor little cat, what's his name? It's very tough situation and you will feel it when it's time. Mostly if you see he's suffering instead of having good quality of life.. please keep us updated. BTW, welcome to the board.
