We are having some work done on our ceiling and there is a hole where our light fixture is. When I got home from work today there was a big pile of insulation on the floor. It is the blown in type versus the rolled type. I am wondering if my kitty ate some if I need to take her to the vet? any thoughts. ??? Thanks1

There are many different types of blown insulation: Fiberglas, cotton, cellulose, recycled paper - and combinations therein. They often have borates and ammonium sulfate added to them, as anti-fungal and pest deterring agents. Not exactly good for consumption. I would keep a close eye on her. You might want to just call your vet (or maybe even a couple different vets for multiple opinions) and see what they recommend. I'm sure they've run into similar situations.

She sits in her corner, singing herself to sleep.
