Post Keep Away From This Product!!!!!

It says right on the front of the bottle, "Safe for Carpets, OUT! Cat Spray & Urine Stain & Odor Remover - Effective on Cat Spray, Urine, Hairballs, Vomit, Blood, Feces and More!" DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!! If you have it, get rid of it immediately and please pass on the word to your friends. It is carried everywhere. I found it at our local WalMart. They do not mark the bottle as being as harmful as it is!!!! Unfortunately, I am one who can speak from experience. Here's my story, I'll try to make it short. One of my cat's piddled on the rug and I couldn't find the spot, so I took this spray and lightly sprayed the house rug with it - let me repeat - LIGHTLY. A couple of my kitties sneezed that day, but I figured, no big deal and didn't think a thing about it. The next day, I woke up with a major cold out of nowhere. A cough that through out the week made my lungs and stomache hurt from the strength of the cough. I sneezed sneezes that were so strong, it felt like my lungs touched each other and my chest burned each time I coughed or sneezed. My cats ALL eight of them came down with the SAME thing. Thank God, just not the cough. Their sneezes were so wet, that if you got in their way, it felt like you got hit by a water bottle being sprayed at you. A couple of them got so bad, that they would struggle for air during sneezing. I took the kitty that was the worst to the vet immediately to get help. They all have upper respiratory infections from this stuff. And, yes, the vet could only give me antibiotics for the cats that she had seen before. I spent all day taking in my cats that hadn't been seen (yep, new vet charges on top of antibiotics because of this spray) for each cat. The next day, because I myself had woken up during my sleep drowning in my own fluids running in my throat & nose so much like a stream of water that I was gasping for air, I decided to go to the doctor. More fees. The only way to get this stuff out of our systems was to have my entire house steam cleaned (we live in a two story house and I had sprayed this crap in all of the rooms) Thank God, today, we are breathing better. The kitties are on their last 3 days of antibiotics and me on my last two days. I only hear an occasional sneeze from them, and not the constant fitful sneezes and wheezing they were going through. I reported this to the company and they said that they have never gotten a "bad" report before and that it is just a coincidence! Eight cats and one human all at once and it is a coincidence!!!! I think not. They also sent to my vet their "fact safety sheet" on what is in this stuff and I could not believe my eyes when I saw it. I should have been wearing goggles when I sprayed it, wearing shoes, protective gloves, and the list went on and on. What about my animals who stepped directly onto it and then licked their paws???!!!! And what about someone's baby who crawls on the carpet and then puts their little fingers into their mouths??? I'm not stopping here. I just have to get my health back under me and I am turning these people in. I just need help to know to who. Suggestions?? The company's name is "OUT!" Sorry this story is so long, but it needed to be told.

wow...I never use anything that stays in the carpet because of allergies for both human and animal...I am really glad you are all getting better, that must have been so scary...we bought a steam cleaner just for the occasional accidents

Will do, but really ANYTHING used to clean urine should be used carefully. It is a chemical and unless it states on the label that it is Safe to use around pets, do not use it around animals. Did it say to use around animals? B/C if so that is a Lawsuit there. Even so, I would not use anything like that unless I was VERY careful and let it dry.

Also after research I have done before shown almost 90% of the products do not work. If you want to have a good effective means to clean it up, esp. on carpet ~ get a rug cleaner *one that DEEP cleans*. It will get rid of the smell right away and no harsh chemicals.

I plan on buying a cleaner b/c I do not trust ANY chemicals around animals. Glad your all OK!!

Wow thank you so much for this! I was looking at it the other day at the store due to my cats. But I will stay clear of that now.

That's terrible! Thanks for the warning! I've been using Woolite Pet Stain & Odor remover + oxygen and also Nature's Miracle/Just for Cats. Does anyone know anything about these products? Nature's Miracle says it's safe around pets & children. Woolite doesn't specify, but it works better.

Nature's Miracle is a very good cleaner, just like other cleaners be careful when you use it, otherwise it's safe
