Question Kittens- should they stay or should they go?

I have two 6 month old sibing kittens who get along and play well, and have been left alone for wkds couple times w/ a cat sitter coming by 2x day for food, litter, play time.
But in the coming weeks id like to go stay with my family for an extended period of time- maybe 5 days.
i dont want to leave them alone for that long (w/cat sitter visits), but im not sure bringing them w/ me is best decision either.
The car ride is only 1 hr and half, which they can get through, but im afraid the change of environment might be too traumatizing for them?
i would stay with them the first day to ease them in, but then I work during days, though house will not be empty & they will have all their stuff w/ them- toys, litter, bed, bowls etc..
BUT my mom has 2 outdoor cats. they come in at night, at which point i'll return from work and can retreat to the bedroom with them, if they do not get along.

Id rather take them with me, but is all of this- strange place, strange people, and encounters w/ other felines- for 4-5 days too much change for them to handle??

Thanks for the advice!

if you have a big enough crate you could keep them in one room with all their things and their crate, they would be fine.

I do not think taking them would be a good idea. I have seen in 2 months my sisters cat have to adjust to a move with my mom and then to my sisters. He seems a totally different cat now but in time he will warm up. I know it might be good for socialization purposes but I would pay to have the sitter come by. Cats sleep like 18 hours a day anyway so bringing them would be pointless for 5 days.
