lump at Maia's anus

would anyone know what may be wrong? She has been licking her butt all day and I just looked and saw a small lump about the size of a pea. It seems to be somewhat painful to her and she told me about it when I tried to look at it. Not so much that she tried to bite me but she did complain a bit.

how old is she?
keep your eye on it for a couple days and if it gets larger or continues to be painful at this size you should probably have a vet look at it.
maybe someone here has had a similar problem?

I am going to take her tomorrow. It is actually below and to the left of her anus and is causing enough discomfort for her to walk funny. She is eating and drinking and has used the litter pan today, but is spending most of her time curled up on my pillow, which is nit really unusual for her. at times she feels a bit warm too but I'm not feeling too well mysel.

It sounds like it could be as simple as an impacted anal gland. It's much less common in cats, but still happens.

Definitely take her to the vet to be sure and let them take care of it if it is an anal gland issue. I promise if that's it, you won't want to do it yourself.
