miss fussy cat... advice anyone?

I thought Callie was protesting the litter. Which none of us liked. I've only switched for about two days so maybe she just doesn't get that the other one is gone for good. But she's used the carpet for her toilet yet again. At least #2 is easy to clean up usually...

Anyway, I think the trouble started really when I moved her food to the kitchen and her litter is still in the bathroom. So for the moment I've moved the food back to the bathroom. I have it by tub so its away from the toilet and the litter box entrance faces the opposite way. Its an apartment bathroom so not so big you can imagine...

ANyone think this just might be unhealthy for her?

But she just doesn't seem to want to walk so far I think. This is a lot of room for her and she's starting to have issues with arthritis I know. Not too bad but I think she's really just not making the big effort... I hope this works. We left the bedroom door open cause she was being a pest and I wasn't sleeping well. Hope with her food there maybe we can keep the door shut and she'll be less fussy. *Sigh*

Aww man Keri! Has Callie gotten any better with the new litter yet? I bet it's from the big move and everything, she might still be getting adjusted. Or like you said, maybe when you moved her food to the kitchen, she didn't like it? I would think it would be fine by the tub where you moved it.

Maybe something like Feliway would help with the stress or what's bothering her?

They have it at that PetSmart in Waterford, too.

Keep us posted! Hope she starts using the box!

Well... I think it was fuss over the food. We moved thefood into the bedroom and left thedoor closed. She was restless as **** and kept us up. So we left the door open tonight. Worked like a charm it seems. She roamed and did as she pleased. No mess on the carpet this morning so I think we figured it out.

I used some stuff to calm her down. Forget what its called... to keep her from peeing. She just took to pooping... But it seems all right now. If it comes up again I'll check out that Feliway, thanks!

yeah... I need toremember her meds since they seem to calm her down to. Let her sleep through the night. Last night I forgot and she was restless and really wanted some attention. argh, even with the door open. I'm sure that its just forgetting her pill since I read a lot of stuff about the meds she's on allowing her to sleep better.
