Munchkin cats

I dunno if this has been talked about before, but do you guys know about the relatively new breed of cats called Munchkins?
It's pretty much a dachshund cat...
I don't think it looks good on a cat, it's weird because felines are known for elegance and such, and here is a little stubby legged long cat! It is kind of cute, but weird at the same time!
What do you guys think?
(photos from google search "munchkin cat" )

.
it looks like their back legs are too long compared to the tiny front paws!

I don't agree with the breeding of "munchkin" cats. They have health problems and are being bred that way just to look cute. It serves no purpose (dachshunds were bred the way they were in order to hunt more effectively, these cats are definitely not going down rabbit holes!).

they even look uncomfortable, like they're constantly crouching. I think it's just so odd they would want to breed a cat like that...

They are adorable, but making them a breed is making more and more cats with genetic and health defects.

They are really cute, but with what others have said, I'm sure they're prone to a bunch of health/genetic issues.

You put a baby in a crib with an apple and a rabbit. If it eats the rabbit and plays with the apple, I'll buy you a new car.

they are actually prone to the same things as wiener dogs. Hip issues, Jumping issues, back problems and so forth

I seen a show on them once and have to say they are a little weird looking for my taste. It seems they would always have back issues or something.
My back hurts looking at them.

To me, it reminds me of when my cat gets scared and crouches down...

I don't really like it. To me it reminds me of a really hairy ferret with a cat head.

I find them interesting for I love doxies, but of course breeding that might end up more health issues is not necessary.
