My BF is STUPID*Her cat maybe pregnant*

*sorry about the some use of caps but i am really ticked* So my BF is outside of the city hanging out with some friends of her's. Well her friends have 4 cats and two are males and are not fixed and neither is her female cat. She now thinks her cat could be pregnant and i believe she is only between 6-8 months of age. I think she is a complete idiot for letting her cat go with her when we could have taken her(even with how annoying she was when she was here for a couple days but atleast she wouldn't end up pregnant at a young age) I told her as i know she will ask me for help with her cat and kittens as she can't really always support her cat(she has no shots either) and i know will not be able to help a bunch of kittens out if they don't all die because she's so young(correct me if i am wrong but i think most young moms who get pregnant either end up dying themselves, or they lose all the kittens or she rejects them) I am completely ticked off at her that she would let this happen to her cat.
She is now officially an idiot.

she should just get her spayed. It wouldn't be totally bad if all the kittens don't make it because there are too many as is. I know thats harsh but honest. I would suggest she get hers spayed though.

oh no i totally agree with you. It would sound harsh to some people but as i know her really well she wouldn't be able to do it all on her own and i told her i wouldn't help her with anything(yes it does sound bad to say but shes the type of person who takes but gives less)

my parents took in a young stray about 7 months old..small frame ..no shots and pregnant. She had her kittens a few days ago and did great. She has 4 kittens all healthy and nursing well and she is a great mom and very proud of her kittens..it's like she is showing them off when even you pay attention to her. We were worried at first too but luckily it turned out fine. Once the kittens are weaned and adopted out she will be spayed. So all hope is not lost. If your friend lets this happen again then that wouldn't be a good thing. Good luck

Yeah but we don't need more kittens in the world when there are already so many. She could have prevented this by getting her into atleast a place that would spay her cat for not a whole lot of money. She told me she would never want her cat to get pregnant but yet she knew they had un-fixed males and didn't keep her in a room. I have a feeling because she was starting to get annoying to her that she just let it happen. That's un responsible of her. It's a different story if you find a stray cat who was already pregnant.

humains make stupid judgement calls, and although it sucks that her cat now maybe pregnant , it is your friends choice weather to spay her or let her have the kittens. If she does let the kittens live i think the main thing would to make sure the kittens find suitable homes when the time is appropriate and to make sure they are healthy as well as momma .
