Is this normal??

Spyder was put on Panmycin Aquadrops, which is tetracycline. Right after I give it to him, he gets this long hanging drool from the corner of his mouth.

Is that a normal reaction?
Maybe because it is bitter to him?

Any thoughts?

Cats will often drool when they get a bitter taste in their mouths. Tetracycline is a very bitter medication, so I'd bet it was the meds. Nothing typically to worry about as long as they're not vomiting and still eating, drinking, otherwise doing ok.

Thanks! I wasn't sure because my vet usually gives my kitties amoxicillan or clavamox. That reaction doesn't happen with either of those meds.
