One-eyed cat

My cat has one eye. Are there any special care things I should know? I clean it off with a damp paper towel when it gets gunky, but aside from that is there anything to be aware of?

As anyone who has ever been around a cat for any length of time well knows, cats have enormous patience with the limitations of the human kind. - Cleveland Amory

Your cat needs special care, first, try as much as possible to keep it indoors. A one eyed cat experiences loss of depth perception and is more likely to misjudge distances and height. That could end up in accidents. Keep checking the affected eye for possible irritation and discharge. In case you notice something unusual, visit the vet for advice and care tips.

Am not sure if the cat needs any special care as most of the times they adapt very well to their situation. You may want to consult with your vet just to be sure.

Your cat is so precious. My heart goes out to you. Just feed it and give it plenty of love and your cat will return that love.
