Exclamation Paw Problems

I was doing a random check of my cats back claws and when I touched her right paw she flipped out. We tried wrapping her in a towel and investigating but every time we get to her one toe she goes nuts, presumably in pain. We are calling the vet tomorrow but would like to have an idea what to tell them besides "paw pain".

Any ideas what could be wrong? She is an indoor cat, we have no thorny plants in the house. Could she had bitten or broken off the nail while picking at it?

My bunny just lost a toe nail. He is on pain meds and he still doesn't want me touching his toes.
How did she do at the vets?

The vet was unable to take her today so we are taking her tomorrow.

I suspect she ripped her nail off. I tried to gently investigate and couldn't see a nail at all... i didnt get a good look though because I can't really touch it or she get angry

Our cat had ripped out a claw and 'injured' the one next to it. The toe was swollen. Vet cleaned the area and gave the cat an antibiotic shot and anti-inflammatory shot.

Nail should grow back on its own.

All is well.

don't know how old she is? when my daisy was tiny, she was always jumping on the stove and freaking us out. does your cat do that? she could of either been burned or... a spider bite can be bad sometimes too. i hope the claw did not come out. when they remove claws in surgury, they have to take out the whole first joint! :-) maybe she got it stuck under something and it got smashed a bit. hope it turns out not too badly!!! i hope i hear good news about your baby.

My puppy ripped off a nail once. The vet removed it and after a day or so he was back to his old self.

Good luck with your kitty I hope it's not something serious.
