Post Persians

Hi Guys.

Just wondering if there are any other Persian Breeders or Owners on this site.

I'm a proud mummy to nine persians.

Thanks In Advance and I hope you're all having a lovely day.

Purrs- Sam & Furrkids.

My Mom is a fancy cat day dreamer, wanting a Persion, but right now she is at her pet limit. I think they are beautiful!

If you have any Halloween pet Pictures, save them for our cyber party on the 22nd, we are going to have a Pets in Costumes, or with seasonal back grounds thread, and with 2,000 pictures you have to have at least 1 Halloweeenish picture right?

I used to have a Blue Point Himmy - his name was Mr. Chow. He was gorgeous. Long pedigree, show quality, so gorgeous. Mr. Chow was with me for many years and he's now crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

I had a Chocolate Point Siamese, her name was Kiss (also show quality - but I never got into showing or breeding - they were always just pets) that I had to have put down last year She was almost 18 years old and it was a hard decision to make but I had to do what was best for her. She was so senile and could no longer care for herself, eating was hard for her- even soft baby food etc... I tried my best for so long... but I had to do what was right in the end. Anyway- those were my 2 pure breds.

Now I have 3 domestic short hair regular old tabby cats. I rescued all 3.

I would love to have another Himmy or Persian or Siamese someday.... but for now - my rescue cats are the best cats in the world. I know that if another tiny kitten that needed a home was brought to me today... I couldn't say no! (even though we keep saying- OK, this is IT , No More Pets!!)

(nodnodnodnod) uh-huh

I don't have one right now, but growing up we had one - my parents got him before I was born, and he lived to be 16. That was an awfully sad time at our house. He didn't have a flattened face though - so we always wondered if he was in fact a persian. We then got a half Himmy, solid black male named "Baby".
A few years back I adopted a chinchilla, doll - faced persian named Abbie. She was pretty old, and had had some terrible times in her life. She seemed happy while she lived here, I sure hope she was.
When I was a little girl, I used to look at my mom's cat breed book all the time ... there was a picture of a Flame in there that I just loved. I always told myself that someday .... Oh well. I hear that Flames are actually hard to find - is that still true ??

Hey! I have a question ... hope I don't sound too stupid here ...

First of all, I looked at all your fur babies on your other thread, they're all wonderful! I love their faces.

Okay - maybe I'm crazy, but your kittys' fur doesn't look as long as most persians I've been around, and those faces - those eyes - they're unusual (and GORGEOUS). Are there different "breeds" of persians ? Because the persians I've seen (for example, shaded silvers and chinchillas) look totally different.

I've never been big on the "smoosh faces", but I just love the way your kitties look ... hope I don't have to go all the way to NZ to get one that looks like that. Because now you've got me wanting another persian kitty !
