Question pregnant cat?

My sister's cat got out and now my sister thinks her cat might be pregnant seeing as how she was just getting ready to get out of heat. If the cat is pregnant how long will she be pregnant?? My sister is in the middle of trying to move and is afraid that her cat might have the kittens before she moves and if she does is it ok to move the mom and kittens as long as they are together?? THe cat excaped out the door when some one opened it. My sister was also getting ready to spay the cat in a couple of days, now she is waiting to see if she is pregnant.

Thanks in advance

Stephanie

You mentioned your sister was going to get the cat spayed anyway.Whynot have an emergency spay done then? Then she wouldn't have to worry.

Cats gestation is about 2 months or so.

how long ago was this? she'll be preganant for 58 to 65 days.. a vet will be able to tell you around 4 weeks.. i would assume it would be ok to move them as long as there together, perhaps in a small dog crate. but you'll have to keep in mind that as soon as you move them, there mom will most likely try to find a new place to hide them afterwards. and it prolly wouldnt be a bad idea to have some kitten milk on hand just in case. How far is she moving? if this all just happend, she might be moved and settled before she has her kittens, which would be idea. Tell your sister to make sure the cat doent get out again, cuz she can get pregnant again.
