Unhappy really sad (bad) morning

My neighbor's cat got hit by a car this morning, it was awful, in front of my house. I live on a busy street and I was aafraid this was going to happen, esp since I have a lot of bird feeders. Most of us have indoor animals. They only moved in about a year or so ago, it was just terrible she saw the kitty get hit and the poor guy that hit her was upset. I ran out and picked up the kitty, she had no chance of survival. Her mom had just basically collasped in her driveway and was screaming. it was just awful.

I am so sorry! That is just awful. I feel very badly for the guy that hit her.
I know my biggest fear is hitting an animal. My neighbor leaves her kitties out and I worry that I will hit one.

I'm sorry. People should just put their cats in their yards or atleast supervise them while there out.

People need to supervise cats, I think if they are to be allowed out, they should at least be on a tether and supervised. Someone in my area does that, puts the two cats on a rope and watches them!

Still it is so sad!

How sad! I am sorry!!

I know what it is like...I seen a dog get hit and a bird get hit,BOTH did not survive. It is devestating to see,but I am sure it is even harder for the person that hits the animal!

Aww thats really sad i am sorry to hear that. I saw a cat get hit once it literally stepped off the curb right infront of the wheels of the car in front of us. It got hit in the head and lay spinning in the road. My husband jumped out and wrapped it in a blanket and we rushed it to the vet but it was too late when we got there it was already gone. The owner and the lady that hit it turned up and the owner was devastated. The lady that hit it too was devastated but there was nothing she could do it just jumped right out in front of her and to miss it would have meant hitting another car.
Its so sad to see i feel for you hun x
