Hey everybody!

We are looking to build Tonks a nice cat tower/scratching post 'thing' and are in need of your thoughts, photos, "build your own" pages? Ideas, mostly

we have a TON of leftover carpet she is already having her way with. ;-)

thanks!

Oh...my fiance's father built an AWESOME one, and sold it for over a 100 dollars. You can pretty much do anything with it; pick any design, utilize the materials, and build it. We have one downstairs with my fiance's father built..it's a little ratty..lots of cats playing on it, but I could try and take a picture of it.

I have also been thinking of building some cat furniture for Amadeus since all he has right now is a tiny scratching post and the furniture at the store is ridiculously priced.

My plan was to hit the Salvation Army and see what could be used to create cat furniture, like a ladder or book shelf. Cover it in scrap carpet and sisle rope and BAM!

My other plan which I am hoping will get done soon is shelving. The shelves are from IKEA (the happy store) as are the brakets. I am thinking of making a stairs case type arrangement in my room so Amadeus will have something and get lots of hight, but it will be over my bed in case he falls off.
