Should we visit the vet?

Hi, I'm new here and have a question. We have an outdoor cat who adopted us a few months ago. He has been gone for about a week, then returned home last night. He obviously doesn't feel well; eats very little and lays around. Not at all as active as normal. He trembles and sounds a little congested. My daughter told me that he's blowing bubbles out his nose. I know cats can get upper respiratory infections, but I'm not sure if they will go away like our colds do, or not. Does it sound like he needs to see the vet ASAP or should I wait it out and see if he recovers on his own?

If he isn't eating and lethargic you should definitely at the very least call the vet and ask what they recommend. It could be nothing. But at the same time, it's not worth the risk to wait and see. Just do what your gut tells you.

Good luck.

I'm never having children. I have two cats. Sisters no less.
