Will Doodles ever learn?

Doodles likes to jump into the chinchilla room.

Lately she's been curious about the wood toys in their cages.

Today, she decided to take advantage of her curiousity by sticking her paw into the cage, batting the toy around. I kept telling her to not do that, as she'd get nipped by Snowball. I even went to the point of spraying her with the water bottle.

Yeah, that didn't work. She did it again, and she got nipped. She meowed and ran away. Of course I grabbed her and checked her paws to see if there was a wound, but she was fine.

So, you think she would have learned? Not Doodles! She went back in there again and stuck her paw in the cage. I sprayed her again with the water bottle. This time she caught on. She meowed at me and ran away.

We'll see if she does it again tomorrow. Goofy cat.

Well, Doodles does still go in there and sticks her paw in the cage, but I scoot her away and she doesn't do it again.

Maybe she learned her lesson, but I guess we'll see!

I hope she learned her lesson! My kitties love to stick their paws in my bunny and hamster cages. The bunnies can stick up for themselves but my little hammy can't so I have to keep her cage inside an exercise pen. Kitties are bratty sometimes. They just love to get into everything!
