Talking WooHoo

My cat polka finally had her kittens last night. I am sorry, I just had to post it I am so excited. She was a rescue cat and I found out shortly after I got her that she was pregnant, so she knows she has her forever home and maybe her kittens will find theirs too when they are weaned. I know that might have sounded cruel, but I have to many animals as it is, and when her kittens are weaned they will be going to what I will make sure are good homes for them.

I haven't checked them yet, I am going to wait until they are a few days old before I start handling them. Her delivery went very well, she was up and at em today walking around, eating tons, and I had went to go make it easier on polka by putting her food, water, and litterbox in our bedroom, and she wanted all of that in the same spot as they were before, so I moved them all back. She had 7 kittens, some are tabby and some are calico, all of them, but 1 are light grey with some white, some have stripes, some don't, some have orange, some don't. There is only one solid black one, with tabby stripes and orange polka dots all over s/he. I can only take pictures with my webcam, so unless I bring her and the babies in here were the webcam is, I can't take any pics. I will see if I can find dh's (hubby's) camera.

Talking Pics

I just took these pictures a few minutes ago, I had to bring her and the kitties in here to take them. If I haven't said this already, there were 5 female and 2 male.

Yes, she is a great mom. She loves her breaks when they are asleep. I thought it was funny, this morning I didn't wake up when josh was fussing and she jumped out of her basket and onto the bed and started nudging me, so now I am up and Josh is too. *hehe* I love her to death along with all my other babies, human and non. Also, yes, I am glad that we don't have litters, but it makes you wonder how them women feel that have quads and more. The only difference between that and cats, a cat can nurse all of her babies at the same time. I just still couldn't imagine having more than one child at a time. I have 2 boys, but having twins or more, couldn't imagine.
