? about goat horns?

i have 2 neutered billies, about a year old. one has regular horns growing, but the other ones horns are kind of irregular looking. hard to describe. they do point back, but are not real symetrical. i KNOW! i need to do pics! but, for now, could this be a nutrition problem or something?

Without seeing a pic, it's impossible to tell. But I'd really doubt it. I've seen some rescued goats that suffered from severe malnutrion and they had normal looking horns.

It's not out of the ordinary to have horns that aren't symmetrical. If you think it's serious, you could talk to a large animal vet and see what he/she thinks...

I got a goat from an auction that was sickly skinny (I felt bad for her) and she has good looking horns. (Don't worry, she's back up to weight and is healthy!!)

Have you had them since they were born? Or were they from some other owner? Has someone attempted to dehorn them? Sometimes when you incorrectly dehorn a goat, you'll kill some of the horn generating tissue, partially disable some and leave some unharmed, making the horn grow irregularly.
