Horse Virus

Has everyone heard about the equine herpes virus that's hitting the Western states? Thirty-three horses are sick, and seven have died. There are over 300 that have been directly exposed to it during an event in Utah. (This news is from 'Reuters').

Last night I saw on the news that teen girls were having to use stick horses in a competition due to the virus. I thought that the girls seem to have a little sense of humor over it.

Yeah I've heard about it. I work with 27 so my bosses and I are keeping a good eye on all of them. It's kind of scary!

I live fairly close to UC Davis and haven't heard much. I think it is still on the watch list though.
