Jett is beautiful. How do you show him? Western, English? How long have you been showing him? I have two registered paint mares that are pretty new to me. I have just purchased them within the last few months, so I don't know them very well. I have only ridden them once each due to weird circumstances! But, I have never shown a horse. It looks like it takes years of practice. Do you find it hard? I love watching shows. The riders and the horses always look so graceful. Keep sending out those pictures! Love to see them.

well, i ride western, as well as my family. english seems...wrong to me. im a very country girl and english is very fancy and i just dont like it. i barrel race and pole bend with him. i have had him since 2001, he was a christmas present from my parents. (imagine trying to fit him under the tree) i have been showing him since i got him actually. we noticed he had a nack for barrel racing when i tried the first time...he just knew how to do it! he cut the barrels so sharp that we knew that if we worked with him more, he could be a champ, and to our satisfaction, he is! i do not find it difficult to show. most people think that they would be nervous showing the first time but if your really in sync with your horse, everything just kinda dissapears. we have such good rythem together that when we show it's like its just the two of us. we dont even notice the crowd. my advice to you if you want to start showing is to become best friends with your horse, once you and it are trustworthy of eachother, anything you put your mind to...your horse will be willing to do. even if it takes it a couple of tries, the two, or in your case the three of you, will make it work. thank you for your comment!

were livin' our love song...
