Talking My Horses Are Related! Lol

You know how I have been trying to make a decision on which horse I want to keep and which to sell? Well, I have finally made my decision and am keeping my tri-colored mare, Partee.

Today, while putting my other mare on DreamHorse.com, I was looking at both mare's registration papers and noticed that they are related! No wonder I have been having such a hard time making up my mind. There is such a resemblance in them, that it has been making it hard for me! Partee's sire is also Miss' great-grandfather. Can you believe it?

I knew I liked both mares for a reason!

I decided to keep Partee because she rides just a bit smoother than Miss. Miss is going to make someone a great starter horse and I want a little more. I learned a couple of days ago that Partee knows how to side step! I am so excited! And she has that soft "rocking horse" lope. Ooooh.

I got my new western saddle today (a quality one) that was personally fitted to my horse(s) especially Partee by a professional. Not only fitted, but ridden on also. I think I am on the right track this time. It's about time.

Cute horses!

Horses simply love running around. They enjoy flexing their muscles, arching their tails in the air, rising up powerfully on their hind legs, and then thundering off at full speed. In between the gallop strides they buck exuberantly and toss their heads joyfully. After repeating their show a couple of times, they pause for a moment to look around with widely flared nostrils, as if to ask: Has everyone seen us? Aren't we simply fantastic? We urge them to move again. They react on the spot, hooves flying with delight.
