Dragonfly

I saw a dragonfly out on my deck the other day that was just sitting there and not moving. So I went back in the house and got my camera. Here are some of the pictures I captured.

I have always wondered what the dark spots on the see through wings are? It was sitting on a 1 inch dowel.

It moved over to my little garden so I could get a different angle. It was such a good dragonfly.

Nice pictures! Sometimes we see dragonflies the size of small birds here.

What kind of camera do you have?

This is a tiny picture because this one would not let me get near it. But this one was huge! It's abdomen <sp> was white with a black under carriage. Only way I can explain it. But it was beautiful just the same.

Great pics. I love dragonflies.

One flew in our house the other day and he was as big as my pointer finger. I put on oven mitts and gently grabbed him to put him outside. He was way too upset about not being able to fly out the window for me to get pics.
