Unhappy Stuck Lizard

Ok, so this may sound silly but I am heartbroken! I heard Scrappy outside barking and I went to see what the heck she was barking at and here was this poor lizard stuck in a hole in the fence post I tried to gently pull him out, I tried to get him wet so he would slide out and I even put a little bit of vegetable oil on him to see if I could get him out...no luck I seriously just spent about half an hour talking to this lizard and trying to get him out and am SO sad I had to leave him there...c'mon, it's just a lizard right?!?

Cool

Wrong soft-heart to be asking another one!!

I found a baby tee-tiny lizard on my kitchen counter the other night. I tried to capture it under a dixie cup and accidentally cut its tail off. ARGHHHH!!!! It fell to the floor and my Mom was yelling "Stomp it!" My Dad was going to step on it and I was yelling just as loudly No, No, just put it outside!

Bubba has a history of rescuing lizards from our foyer (they crawl under the front door) and the pool (up on the thing that sweeps the pool).

So of course I think you did the right thing and I hope the little feller got out!

(BTW, my daughter told me that they are anoles and not lizards - I've never bothered to look it up.)

Good work, Becki! Even lizards deserve to live!

my mom used to live in Florida and she keeps telling me how she had to sweep the geckos outside every morning because they would find a way through the sliding door. It sounds to me like you made a valiant effort, Becki, i can't think of anything else to try. hopefully he will be alright.
