Hehe...yeah,moose are insanely common here in Newfoundland. There were just two recent news stories of moose wandering in the city limits and getting stuck in backyards.I adore moose tho.

But yep, white moose are real.Just rare.

Wow!! That's one impressive creature!!

I've seen Moose at rehab facilities in Virginia but never in the wild.

Of course, I guess it would be pretty frightening to see a moose in the wild in Florida!!

Thanks for sharing the pictures. We will be swimming with dolphin next week so I hope to have some pix of that to share.

They should be called Vanilla moose& the brown ones chocolate.Like Easter bunnies

Was it a WHiTE moose or albino moose that was spotted in Newfoundland? Thats what I thought when I seen this thread. The moose that was featured in the Gander Beacon was white, but I think it had red eyes (could have been the flash)

Neat!

There was a piebald fawn hanging around my mom's house but it disappeared when hunting season rolled around.

Aw...Where I used to live in Ireland there's the world's first and I think only flock of white deer, they live on the grounds of a 14th century castle. They're beautiful too.

I'd love to see a moose, never seen a real one

If you like, I can post pics of the deer later, don't have them on the lap top

Scarlette - that sucks the piebald fawn you seen just dissappeared.Hopefully he wasn't hunted.Thats pretty rare!

I talk to a girl in Scotland and they aparently do not have moose out there.Moose happen to be her favorite animal! I have to show her these pictures! I also plan on sending her some moosey souvenairs.

Nope, the only places you'll find moose in Europe are really far up North, in Scandinavia, places like Sweden and Norway

We have lots of varieties of deer though. They look like really cool animals.

Thanks for the link Melissa. And yes,the "Downhomer" sells moose items,so do some other stores downtown.

Thats something we do not have in Newfoundland - deer.It would be nice to see them tho.

Oh and a fact for you all...moose are actually not native to Newfoundland. They were introduced to the island many yrs ago and just over populated from there.
