wild baby bunny

Ok I just had a lady call and bring us a baby bunny. Her cat had drug it in, she couldnt find the nest so she brought it to us. The bunnys eyes are open and he is moving fine. We have him on baby bunny food, and a water bottle. Should I put him on milk? I will try to get pics tonight. He is currently at 101 gms. Any idea on an appox age? I am doing more research, but asking questions here is just faster! Thanx

Our rule of thumb for rehab bunnies was if it was as big as your fist, eyes open and ears up, it was on its own. No milk needed.

Caught by cat is another issue. That means antibiotics. Without them, chances of survival are slim. ...even if you don't see scratches, they are probably there.

Otherwise, just release..

Baby bunnies are REALLY tough to take care of yourself. It's best to get them to a rehabilitator. Good luck!

We called our vet in the morning and he came and checked her out. Said she was fine and that she was ready to run. So we took her out to a nice thicket, and set her free. I seen her yesterday she is growing great and looks happy and healthy.
