Military rescue being set up

French Bulldog Rescue Network has reps in all states for frenchies. I'm
posting your message there and here is our website if you would like to see
a list of memebers for contact purposes. I'm in WA state.

> Hi,
> To try to help the shelters and rescues around the big Military bases we
have setup a group called Military Dog Cat Rescue. We are hoping that
shelters, rescuers and transporters will join and help us save as many of
these animals as we can. I know that most places are overloaded with
unwanted animals but there are shelters here and there that can take some of
these unwanted animals. I know of one in Montana and some in Colorado are
already trying to setup transports to get some dogs out of Texas. I'm going
to try talking to the tv and radio stations here and see if they can put the
word out about this. I'm going to continue sending e-mails to congress and
President Bush. The pet overpopulation is terrible and the mobilization is
only making it worse.
> I'm asking that you help us by crossposting this to as many lists as
possible and if you know of anyone in the Military please send them the
second group. This is set up where they can post their animals, location
and how much time they have. If you can help out please join the first
group and list yourself in the databases. Pass this on to anybody and
> If anybody has additional ideas please let me know.
> Thank you.

If we were back in the states I would help in a heartbeat... However being over here in Italy the Military spouses and some active duty members work with the organization "Naples Friends of Animals" due to the lack of shelters and the high population of strays around here... It is almost the same but not quite, we do what we can being over here
