Bald feet!...What does this mean?

My 6 mo. old, Degu Baby, has nibbled all the hair off the tops of all four feet...they are bald! She is healthy. Why has she done this...or better yet, how do I make her stop this. Just to add a scenario, I keep 2-3 mo.old degus directly beside her cage...is this making her angry/jealous, perhaps I should put them elsewhere?

They normally chew the hair of their feet when they are depressed or bored or if something is stressing them out. I'd try moving them see if she improves but if not i'd maybe try the introductions again as maybe she is lonely and given time could become good friends with them and also i'd keep an eye on her just in case something is stressing her out (be it something in the enviroment or illness) you will need to get to the bottom of it if nothing else works. I'd also maybe bathe the bald patches in a little salt water if they aren't raw as this will help them heal quicker and also stop infection from appearing and i'd also use a little E45 cream or a mild baby moisturiser or oil of evening primrose cream to help soften the skin up and promote new fur growth. Goodluck and i hope Baby is back to her beautiful self in no time
