degu girls

I have two degu girls not from the same litter and when i first split the old female up with the old male, she was aggressive towards the new girl i bought 3 weeks after. I now have them both in a cage with a horizontal divider with mesh in the middle of it so they can interact. they have been like this for 3 days now. when they see eachother they make quiet warbling sounds which i heard was a good thing and they are not aggressive anymore at all. is it safe to put them together or give it more time?? i really dont want them fighting but i feel like they are fine together..

I would give it more time, rushing could result in them never being able to live together.
