Degu-Sitters (for 7 months)?

Hi all,

I will be going out of the country for 7 months and I am looking for a loving home for my two male degus while I'm away. I'm currently living in the Boston area and would prefer someone living in the area or somewhere near Philly (where my parents are currently). Please let me know ASAP! I leave late September and will be gone through May next year.

Degus are illegal in Pennsylvania, so if you do find someone from that area, you need to be extra careful that the wrong person doesn't find out and force the degus to be killed. I don't mean to be all fear-mongering, but it's something to be aware about.

Not to mention how difficult it would be for the caretaker to get vet care for them if needed .
