A few degu pictures

While the girls were out playing today I took a few pictures. Sorry I couldn't get any of Ichigo...she didn't really want to come out (she can be pretty shy sometimes) and was only out for a few minutes.

Rosie:

Hikaru and Rosie (Rosie looks so small in this picture!) :

Rosie eating a treat:

My favorite is the first one...I really think it captures Rosie's outgoing and playful personality . I'm happy to have a picture of her when she isn't eating .

Nice pics, all of your degus are so cute Rosie reminds me of my degu Jay. He's such a happy, hyper little guy. I think I'm gonna steal your idea and take my boys out in the bathtub today. I usually let them free in the bathroom but lately they've taken to going behind the toilet and it just seems unhealthy for them to be there, lol.

That's because she is mischievous . Thanks to her I had to get a new cage and a new carrier...she chewed them apart .

I love taking them in the bathtub because it keeps them confined...otherwise they tend to disapear . They can still jump out but it's tricky and takes them a little while. Usually they're having so much fun that they don't want to jump out, though. I usually give them cardboard tubes, towels, and boxes to play with.

Just remember to move the curtain to the outside of the tub...otherwise they use it to climb out .
