Fresh Meadow Hay

Has anyone fed their degus fresh meadow hay from Living World? We were out of timothy hay and this was the only hay product (apart from alfalfa cubes) we could find in two pet stores that we visited. Our girls seem to like it better than the timothy hay, but I'm wondering about its nutritional value? Are the little flower heads in the hay dandelions?

Meadow hay is fine to use with degus. I'm not sure what the little flower heads are as i haven't come across living world hay over here in the UK

I don't know what the flower heads are either...could you maybe get a picture?

I think they might just be dandelion heads before they turn into those little things that end up flying everywhere!
