Goo has wry neck
Earlier today I noticed one of my lady goos has her head tilted, is off balance, walking in circles, stumbling and pretty much exhibiting every sign of wry neck possible. Unfortunately every place, emergency and non that appears to be somewhat competent with small mammals, is closed, so I'll have to wait until at least the 26th to get her to a vet. I assume that when we do visit she's going to be prescribed baytril, and I was wondering if anyone knew what a proper dosage would likely be. I know for medium-sized buns it's 1mL, so if the vet I go to prescribes anywhere near that I know they're out of their mind, but I would like to have some sort of idea of how-much-is-just-enough for the little guys. I'm paranoid enough as it is about giving her any medication.
I've read for chins it can be anywhere from .1mL to .3mL per 500g-550g-ish. I have no idea how much she weighs, as I don't have a scale, but she's definitely smaller than my boys and is probably one of my smaller-in-size-and-shape girls. Just taking a complete guess with absolutely no basis, she might be around 215g. I'm going to attempt to find things that weigh around there and compare (haha), so yeah, if anyone knows about how much baytril would be appropriate for an average goo, please let me know.
