I have a adult male named romeo who has been living by himself for a fews years now. Ive been wanting to get him a juliet for a while, but was having no luck finding one. finally I found a lady today selling them she had a waiting list so i want get my little girl till next month and i was wondering if it would be safe to put the two together with him being older and alone for so long?

It would be dangerous to breed a young female, I would not have them together at all for a while. I'm not a fan of keeping pairs together even if breeding, though, since in captivity the females will have back to back litters. That's not good for the female OR the babies...

If it was me, I'd neuter the male or get a baby boy instead.

I do plan to get him neuter. Thats why im worried about how he would act towards her. Plus the fact he was raised with out a cage mate.
