One Degu larger than the other?

I got my two boys around a month ago, and they are slowly warming up to me, however over the past week or so, i noticed a significant difference between them. One is a lot larger than the other, even though they are supposed to be the same age.
Since i got them from the pet shop, i considered the fact that one could be a female, and she may be pregnant, as i have seen one mounting the other a couple of times, making weird noises. It is hard for me to check their genitals because they are not comfortable enough with me to hold them properly yet.
I was just wondering if there is a way for me to check without stressing them out too much?
Thank you ^^

It is possible that you have a male and a female, and that the female is pregnant. You should check out a degu-specific site like the deguworld forum or degutopia. There are people with a lot of experience and photos on this site that will help you determine this.

Best of luck.

The easiest way to sex a squirmy degu is to place them in a clear plastic or glass container and look from the bottom .
