It puts the finger in the mouth It does what its told

my degu is testing me to see if im safe i think
I am just getting to know my new degu and she puts my fingers in her mouth and nibbles just a tad.
she is cute
she doesn't bite hard just like tasting me to see if im gonna be aggressive to her i guess.
she doesn't quite trust me but i think she wants to
anyway thats what i get from the way she acts.....

she's like who is this and are you gonna be nice to me or what
I have been just starting to pic her up an hold her more often

It seems to me that the girl Degus tame up and are more brave then the males
my males still make me chase them around the cage before i can pick them up silly boys

Degus do that as a greeting so she is more then likely saying hello, its a good sign as it means she is starting to trust you

Yup, grooming
My boy George is a big groomer to my hands, at first I though he needed a miniral lick, but he's just friendly

Is he alone?
He could be chirping because he's lonley?

Sometimes my Bruce Screams our loud Chirps when he thinks there is something wrong, he'll even keep trying to chirp when I give him food and it's half in his mouth LOL... the other Degus just ignore him now, I think he's the Degu who cried wolf :p
