aww poor sleep lil' guy. remember he'll need lots of sleep to heal. have you ever given him a hot water bottle or something warmed in the dryer? or get him to curl up in a blanket with you. keeping him warm will help him. no heating pads though, the electric wire could get chewed. when my goo wasn't well (which i didn't know until after she died) she curled up on the couch in a blanket with me and slept for a while

Yes, I've been giving him a hot water bottle. I use a regular drinking water bottle which I put into a cotton sock. Works well and he loves it, I change it multiple times a day to make sure it stays warm. I've been doing this ever since he got sick earlier this year.
Yesterday I was watching TV, I was wearing a fleece sweatshirt and Skippy was curled up in my arms and slept. He never stays that still. Poor little Skippy .

How precious that you spent that quiet time together. Now that you are apart, and he waits for you at Rainbow Bridge, I know those cherished memories will remain in both your hearts.

I am just so sorry you had to tell him goodbye for now.
