feeding question

I recently bought Mazuri hamster pellet/block food. I was feeding a seed mix. I gave each ham a few blocks last night, but they didn't seem overly thrilled!! Will they adjust? Also, is the block a complete diet or should I supplement with a seed mix? I give fresh foods about every other day or so.

Hmmm, not sure since I dont know what Mazuri block is but I do know that hammies are quite content living and collecting food without change..I think yours are just confused since they are used to foraging and stuffing their cheeks with goodies. Give them time. When I had a hammie I created my own seed/everything mix from a local bulk food store and he lived and loved every minute of it till a ripe old age. Variety is key though , so I would defiently mix the blocks with seeds and treats and fruits and veggies... Good luck!
