Gerbil Question

Can two gerbils from different cages get along if they're the same sex? I'm getting two different answers.

You have to do a split tank/cage introduction.
I have 2 males, but they were from the same litter.

its possible but you have to be careful and patient. Are they both adults? Adults are more tricky then introducing a young pup and an adult. I have never had a problem introducing young gerbils to adults. Now introducing an adult to another adult is tricky. Get a split tank if its possible. I don't, but i have a huge tank that i can stick a small wire cage in and thats how i do intro's

question RatPrincess

I have a 6 week old pup and a 6mo adult.. both females... the pieces of fabric/scent is doing great, both sleeping on the others pieces of fabric(i had let the fabric get their scent for 3 days then switched the fabric's to each other's tanks). Mulan(6week) and Fiona(6mo) are both females. We just got Mulan 4 or 5 days ago(time has flown, lol) and they was on my bed in neutral territory while i re-did mulan's temp cage, and they didn't get into any fights. this happened earlier today... Is it safe to put them together???
