Hamster unusually small/dry poop?

My winter white dwarf hamster, Prima, has been having unusually dry poop on & off lately. Today, it's not dry & the consistancy is normal, but it's abnormally small. She's acting fine, but what does this mean? Should I be worried?

Hmm, maybe you should call a vet to make sure. Has her diet changed at all? Is she drinking normally? My boy ham-a syrian-has really small dry poops, but he always has so that's normal for him. I wonder though, since your girls' changes, if you shouldn't call a vet!! Hope she's okay!!

I would say if it's on and off that its related to diet. Hamsters should never be fed cold or wet food. Only fresh room temperature veggies and fruit as well as a well balanced and fresh seed mix. If it keeps up, I'd call a vet. Good luck!

I took her to the vet, & she couldn't find anything wrong with her, but put her on antibiotics just in case. Her poops have since returned to normal.
