Hamsters: Can they vomit?

Okay I have a question about hamsters for my sister.Amanda's hamster appeared to throw up a pinkish pellet thingy...she explained it looked like a juice pellet...this was about a week ago and Button has been fine since, she wanted to me to ask what it was...can hamster's vomit? Mice and rats cannot, so I don't know if hamsters are the same...any suggestions?

as hamster are basically rats, I think the same applies to them, regarding not being able to vomit.

All rodents can't regurgate (vomit, burp ect...) sooo I'm disagreeing, however if your hamster did he could be very ill?...
