Unhappy I think my hamster has a tumor

image.jpg

Just yesterday I discovered this large purple lump on my hamster by her leg. I don't know if it's a tumor or not but is there anyway I can help her?

She should be brought to a vet. A vet should be able to tell you whether it is cancerous, an infected wound, or a cyst. An infected wound would need to be treated with antibiotics ASAP so go to the vet as soon as you can.

How is she doing otherwise? Is she behaving normally? How old is she?

She's acting healthy. Eats, sleeps, drinks and all. Runs on her week and everything. She acts just like herself. The bump has dried up and shrinked. I have really no clue how but it just happened. She's about a year old!

Glad to hear that. (Maybe it was a cyst or maybe a slight infection that burst and healed.)

I believe this is a tumor and you should bring her to the vet first thing and get it checked out I recommend giving it lots and lots of water and make sure she gets lots of exersise
